We “Like” Facebook’s Irish Green Energy Plan and Thought We’d “Share”

We know we can have healthier communities right now and a livable future for kids growing up today. But to get there, we must transform the way we produce and consume energy. That’s got to start with a commitment to 100 percent clean, renewable energy.

We know we can have healthier communities right now and a livable future for kids growing up today. But to get there, we must transform the way we produce and consume energy. That’s got to start with a commitment to 100 percent clean, renewable energy.

Earlier this year, Facebook announced that it will build a new data center in Ireland that will be powered entirely by clean, renewable energy. On this St. Patrick’s Day, I could not resist “sharing” how much we “like” this idea.

Ireland is home to incredible wind power resources, making it a great place for Facebook to take another big step toward their goal of running all their operations on 100 percent clean, renewable energy. That’s good news for the planet and good news for the people of Ireland.
