Ask your legislators to support the net-metering bill

Rooftop solar power is one of the cleanest and most efficient ways for us to generate electricity. One of the best ways to encourage people to install panels is to make the upfront investment pay off faster, and that’s what the Net Metering Program and Fund Bill, HB165/SB150 does. Alaskans sending energy into the grid would get credited for that energy at the same rate as what they pay for electricity coming from the grid, and they can roll those credits over into the winter months, so summer overproduction would cover the costs of electricity in the winter when less sun shines.
