Environment Nevada and its national office Environment America announced Thursday that they are endorsing the re-election of U.S. Reps. Dina Titus and Susie Lee of Nevada to Congress.

Environment Nevada, Environment America endorse re-election of US Reps. Susie Lee, Dina Titus

CARSON CITY, Nev. – Environment Nevada and its national office Environment America announced Thursday that they are endorsing the re-election of U.S. Rep. Dina Titus in Nevada’s 1st Congressional District and U.S. Rep. Susie Lee in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District.

Earlier in October, both Titus and Lee introduced the Colorado River Basin Conservation Act to help resolve one of Nevada’s biggest threats: a lack of fresh water. Rep. Titus is also working to protect Nevada’s “Spirit Mountain,” Avi Kwa’ Ame, and both seek to prevent the dumping of toxic nuclear waste in Nevada.

“From shrinking Lake Mead to leaving the Sierra with less snowpack, climate change is adversely affecting Nevada’s public lands and waters,” said Lisa Frank, the executive director of Environment America’s Washington Legislative Office. “In their respective districts, Congress members Titus and Lee have built strong records defending Nevadans, and their lands and waters, from the harms of climate change and extraction. These green champions each deserve at least another term to keep making Nevada cleaner, safer and healthier.”
