Texas State Senator Judith Zaffirini (Laredo) joined us this week for a webinar on state policy action to protect bees and other pollinators. Gov. Abbott vetoed her bill in 2021 to promote pollinator-friendly landscaping at solar farms, but the Senator promises she is not giving up. She plans to push new bills to save the bees during the current session of the Texas Legislature. See her full comments below.

He has been named one of the "Top Lobbyists for Causes" by Capitol Inside, received the President's Award from the Texas Recreation and Parks Society for his work to protect Texas parks.
