Ruthie Seroussi is the Development Director for The Public Interest Network and Environment America. Working with some of the most sophisticated and experienced organizers, advocates and strategists in the United States, we’ve developed a three-part, five-year plan to catalyze lasting change and create a greener, safer, healthier and more democratic country for all. Ruthie works to identify and attract strategic partners and investors to join us to meet this moment. She also works to raise the visibility and brand of the Network, and to tell the Network’s 50-year story of innovating advocacy, organizing and change. Prior to her current role, Ruthie built a successful legal career working as a lawyer and litigator for other non-profits and then in private practice as a labor and employment attorney for over 20 years. Ruthie returned to The Public Interest Network full time in September 2020, inspired to do her part to meet today’s most pressing challenges. Ruthie serves as an Advisory Board Member to Cornell’s Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations, President of Venice Arts Board of Directors, Chairperson of the Friends of Mark Twain Middle School Booster Club Board, and as a member of other non-profit boards. Ruthie lives in Venice, California with her husband Mike, their two boys and their rescue German Shepherd, Marley, who loves hiking and being outdoors as much as Ruthie.
