Tell your legislators: Support climate accountability for corporations

California is experiencing more intense and more frequent heat waves, and global warming pollution emitted by some of the state’s largest companies is making the problem worse. While we know that big corporations cause a lot of this pollution, nobody knows exactly how much comes from these big companies.
For the sake of transparency, Californians have a right to know about the pollution that comes from some of the world’s most profitable corporations operating in the state. Making this information public would increase pressure to reign in the state’s biggest polluters.
Urge your state legislators to support SB 253 to require large US-based corporations that make over $1 billion annually to publicly disclose their full carbon emissions in a way that is easily understandable and available to the public.
