2:00 - 3:00pm EDT
Each year Americans waste 30-40% of our food. That’s an enormous waste of resources that contributes to a variety of environmental problems. Experts estimate that food waste alone contributes to 8% of global warming emissions. We invite you to join this national briefing for state lawmakers and staff, “How states can tackle food waste and hunger at the same time” on Thursday, February 23rd 2pm ET/11am PT. At this briefing experts will share about legislative opportunities to reduce food waste and answer questions.
