How to replant root-bound potted plants

So you have some root-bound potted plants. How do repot them? Here's an excellent video from the Morongo Basin Conservation Association.

Take Action

As the video below points out, we’ve all brought home root-bound potted plants. How do you fix the situation?

“First, a good water dunk.” Watch the video to see what comes next.

I saw the video when I had the opportunity to attend the annual meeting of the Morongo Basin Conservation Association, a group that advocates for a healthy desert environment.

They showed the video and it stuck with me. Note: the featured potted plant is a native plant.

Finally, above is my photo of some non-potted plants, taken on a stunningly beautiful hike while in the Morongo Basin. It’s well worth a visit.
