“Taking charge” webinar educates consumers about used electric vehicles
Attendees learned about used EV incentives, charging, range, and maintenance

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming more and more popular every day, cut greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 60-68%, and reduce harmful air pollution. But many people who are EV curious have concerns about charging, range, or cost holding them back. To answer those questions, Environment America Research & Policy Center and U.S. PIRG Education Fund held a webinar to give people practical tips about used electric vehicle purchasing, usage, and maintenance. Our panelists gave advice on how to check the condition of a used EV, how to find a technician to service your EV, and how much maintenance an EV needs.
“More and more used electric vehicles are hitting the market every year,” said Mackenzie Brown, global warming campaign associate with Environment America Research & Policy Center. “New incentives from the Inflation Reduction Act make now a better time than ever to go electric with a used EV.”
