Attorney General Phil Weiser joins objections to the Uinta Basin Railway
The proposed Uinta Basin Railway would transport at least 5.46 million gallons of crude oil every day from Utah through Colorado.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has joined the chorus of elected officials objecting to a proposal to build a new railway to transport 5.46 million gallons of crude oil through Colorado. If they derail, these oil trains could spill into the Colorado River, which is the water source for 40 million people.
A.G. Weiser has sent a letter to Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigeg urging the Secretary to deny federal funding for the proposed railway.
This railway should not be built and our tax dollars certainly should not subsidize its construction.
