The legacy of the Trump administration still hangs over the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and the federal government is still required to sell oil leases in the Arctic Refuge. We need the Biden administration to make a plan that will protect the Arctic Refuge before even another inch of the Arctic is sold for oil drilling. We have until October 23 to demonstrate public support for protecting this amazing wild place.

The Bureau of Land Management is holding a public comment period with 2 more virtual hearings held on Zoom. We need as many people as possible to provide a 1-3 minute verbal comment. Your camera will not be on, you will unmute and can read your comments for the Bureau of Land Management staff to hear and record for the official record.

The next hearing is Oct. 11, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (5:00 p.m. Alaska Time).

There will be an additional hearing at a date and time to be determined. If you sign up here, we’ll keep you updated when that hearing is scheduled.

When you sign up, we’ll send you an email to provide materials and the Zoom information for the public meeting.
