Events like the upcoming Tampa Bay Youth Ocean Summit are the birthplaces of such inspiration. It’s an event where you can learn to make real change in the world, and in your own life.

Environment Florida has a goal of educating and empowering college students at one remarkable ocean event. With the help of researchers, advocates, students and environmental leaders from all over the state, we will bring the latest information on the threats that face our coastal waters to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg this fall. Armed with that knowledge, attendees will learn about the power to create change through advocacy. They’ll hear success stories and leave with tools that will empower them to bring change to their schools and communities.

With Florida’s coastal waters heating up faster than almost any other part of our ocean, now is the time to take action to conserve sensitive habitats like coral reefs, protect marine mammals and fight plastic pollution.
