An important transportation referendum is being voted on today. If passed, the referendum will raise the sales tax by 1 percent and use the funds to build 157 regional transportation projects. Over half of the regional funds would be spent on transit, including a rail line to Emory and the CDC and light rail on the Beltline. Environment Georgia is supporting the referendum and the positive impact it would have on Atlanta’s air quality and sprawl.
Volunteers will be turning out the YES vote all day, join us for any or all!
