Help protect Yellowstone National Park’s iconic bison herds
Bison have been an iconic and integral part of Yellowstone’s landscape for hundreds of years, drawing millions of visitors to the park from all over the world every year.
But we need to make sure these beloved animals are safe from traffic. Last year, 13 bison lost their lives in a tragic collision with a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 191 right outside of Yellowstone. But this doesn’t have to be the case. A wildlife crossing can offer these noble giants safe passage.
I urge you to prioritize the next round of wildlife crossing funding to save bison and other wildlife living in Yellowstone National Park. Please work with Montana officials to protect bison from vehicle collisions.
