Tell General Mills to reduce its plastic food packaging
Using less plastic across General Mills' brands and products will help lighten the load of plastic that everyday consumers are forced to deal with.
To celebrate National Public Lands Day (NPLD) and promote our work to ban polystyrene foam in Georgia we partnered with the Chattahoochee National Parks Conservancy for a clean-up at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Volunteers pulled roughly 1,280 lbs of waste from banks of the Chattahoochee River in a few short hours.
Our staff completed a trash audit of the waste collected to see what kind of trash is plaguing the Chattahoochee River. The top three materials found were: 1) Polystyrene Foam 2) Plastic Bottles 3) Plastic Bags. Single-use plastic pollution is a big problem! We hope you can join us for our next clean-up!
