Beach cleanup to protect the Great Lakes

On September 23rd beach cleanups happened all across the region as part of a Great Lakes day of action. Environment Illinois Research & Education Center hosted a cleanup at North Ave Beach in Chicago starting at 10AM. We picked up litter including lots of small pieces of plastic and celebrated the amazing Great Lakes ecosystem that so many call home.
