Earth Month beach cleanup

Illinois has a plastic problem, but we can move toward a future where our environment isn’t polluted by single-use plastics. A group of more than 20 staff and volunteers met at Chicago’s North Avenue Beach on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m, We celebrated Earth month, picked up trash on the beach, and talked about efforts to reduce single-use plastics in our state.
