Tell Nutrien Ag: Stop selling neonic-coated seeds

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department | Used by permission

Ken Seitz, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Nutrien:

We urge you to stop coating seeds in bee-killing pesticides.

Pollinators are vital to our planet and our food, but neonicotinoids threaten to greatly diminish their numbers. One seed coated in neonics can kill a songbird or poison an entire beehive.

As agriculturalists, you understand the importance of bees. But neonic pesticides do not. They kill indiscriminately, unable to differentiate between pests and pollinators.

Nutrien Ag can help make a difference in saving precious pollinator species by discontinuing the sale of neonic-coated seeds.

Sincerely,
