Next up is the Illinois Senate.

Nothing we use for just a few minutes should pollute our environment for hundreds of years. That’s why Environment Illinois is supporting a bill that would phase out polystyrene foam cups, take-out containers and other food ware in Illinois. That bill, HB2376 advanced out of the Illinois House Tuesday afternoon on an 67-43 vote.
Thanks so much to everyone who has already taken action to support the bill! A special shout out to Representative Gong-Gershowitz for championing this important legislation and to the Coalition for Plastic Reduction, a coalition of more than 35 organizations across Illinois, that has been building support for the bill. Our state is now poised to take action to protect our clean water, wildlife and environment from plastic pollution.
Next up is the Illinois Senate.
