Maryland launches Inflation Reduction Act rebate site
Residents of Maryland can turn to a new state website for updates and information on the energy efficiency and building electrification rebates available to them.
Consumers looking to reduce utility bills and pollution inside and outside their homes have new opportunities thanks to programs in the Inflation Reduction Act, a climate and clean energy bill passed by Congress last summer.
In Maryland the state recently launched a website to educate residents about the rebate programs. Federal tax incentives for a number of clean energy home technologies went into effect in January. State rebate programs created by the law are not yet up and running.
“Tapping tax credits and rebates in the federal clean energy plan will help Americans reduce pollution and improve air quality inside and outside their homes,” said Environment America Research & Policy Center’s Senior Director of the Campaign for 100% Renewable Energy Johanna Neumann.
