BOSTON – Energy experts sent a letter to Gov.-elect Maura Healey’s transition team today, recommending actions for the incoming administration to reduce the use of fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to clean energy.

The Renewable Energy Advisory Committee is a group of academics and energy experts who advise Environment Massachusetts on policies related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and the electrification of heating and transportation.

Gov.-elect Healey will take office on Thursday, January 5. In her campaign platform, she pledged to power Massachusetts with 100% clean electricity, including 10 gigawatts of solar energy, and install heat pumps in one million homes by 2030.
