Endangered right whale calf found dead off the North Carolina coast

Separated from his mother, the two-week-old stood little chance of survival

Over the weekend, a newborn right whale calf was found dead off the coast of North Carolina. According to experts, the calf is no more than a couple of weeks old. While the cause of death has not been determined, the young calf was spotted on Jan 3rd without his mother (unlike the calf in this photo).

We must do more to save this endangered and majestic species.
