

Environment New Mexico joined a letter thanking Senators Lujan and Heinrich and Representatives Leger-Fernandez and Stansbury for introducing legislation to permanently protect a 10-mile buffer zone around Chaco Canyon Historic Park.
As the letter says,”the proposed ten-mile buffer zone would prevent further degradation of the Chaco Culture UNESCO World Heritage Site and would encompass portions of the Chacoan road network, outlying Chacoan communities with great houses, and thousands of cultural, scientific, and spiritual resources.”
