Used widely for convenience, PFAS chemicals are contaminating water across the nation. These “forever chemicals” have been linked to serious health effects, including cancer, liver damage and birth defects.

Environment America Research & Policy Center, in partnership with NCPIRG Education Fund and Cape Fear River Watch, organized a conversation with North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein and other experts on how communities and public officials can take action to stop this persistent toxic threat.
