At Environment Oregon, we believe there’s something special about Oregon — something worth protecting and preserving for future generations. Whether it’s our majestic forests, our rocky and iconic coastline, wild and scenic rivers, or our local parks, Oregon’s natural wonders enrich our lives in countless ways.

And yet it’s no secret that the earth is in trouble. For too long, our society has degraded the quality of the air we breathe and the water we drink, diminished the wildlife and wild places we love, and destabilized the climate we need to survive. Despite the challenges, Environment Oregon and our national network keep finding multiple ways to make a positive difference for the planet. We’ve won campaigns in Oregon to reduce the use of single-use plastics, cut climate pollution and expand clean energy.

We are currently recruiting a Conservation Advocate to join our state based advocacy team to help us win more progress in the future. Are you or someone you know interested in joining our team?

Beyond plastic

Protect our waters and wildlife from waste

Each year, Americans throw away millions of foam cups and take-out boxes. Too often, this pollution ends up in our oceans and rivers, where it can harm or even kill birds, fish and other wildlife.
