The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is working to finalize new protections aimed at cutting methane emissions from the oil and gas industry. Methane is one of the worst global warming pollutants on the planet. The EPA’s proposal will help reduce harmful air pollution, protecting our climate and our health. However, while the proposal is strong, there are still improvements to be made. And we need to make sure that the EPA makes those improvements and then finalizes the rule as soon as possible. Ask the EPA to strengthen their proposed protections and to swiftly finalize the rule.
