Top champs for protecting Pennsylvania’s air, water, and climate identified for voters

PENNSYLVANIA — With early voting commencing and only 25 days until Election Day 2022, the statewide citizen-based environmental advocacy group PennEnvironment released its list of endorsed candidates for state and federal office. The group’s list spotlights candidates with exemplary environmental records and policy positions who are running for the Pennsylvania State House and Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, and Governor of Pennsylvania.

“As public awareness of environmental issues grows, tackling climate change, promoting renewable sources of energy, and reining in the scourge of plastics are increasingly front of mind for Pennsylvania voters,” noted Ashleigh Deemer, Deputy Director of PennEnvironment.  “And with some state legislative races decided by just a handful of votes each election cycle, an informed and engaged electorate around environmental issues could make a huge difference when Pennsylvanians cast their ballots.”
