Environmental champions in state legislature highlighted

Philadelphia, Pa. –  The statewide nonprofit environment organization PennEnvironment released its list of endorsed candidates today for state offices for Election Day 2024.

“PennEnvironment’s endorsements are meant to serve as a tool to help Pennsylvanians know how to cast their ballot for the environment when they go to the polls on Election Day,” stated PennEnvironment Executive Director, David Masur.

The group’s list spotlights candidates with exemplary environmental records and policy positions who are running for the Pennsylvania State House and Senate.

“In the wake of recent extreme weather events like hurricanes Helene and Milton, it is clear that electing environmental champions has never been more important,” noted Masur. “PennEnvironment’s endorsements serve as a tool to help Pennsylvanians know not only who votes in favor of the environment, but also who uses their platform as an elected official to advocate for bold environmental progress.”
