No burning “forever chemicals” upwind of PA’s Allegheny and Beaver counties
Officials at the U.S. Department of Defense recently announced their plans to incinerate PFAS–often referred to as “forever chemicals”–in eastern Ohio, only miles upwind from Beaver County, Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh metro area. Studies show that PFAS are nearly indestructible–even at high heat, meaning that these toxic chemicals could be released into the air, water and land of nearby and downwind communities.
Call on your member of Congress to oppose this proposal and keep local communities safe from PFAS chemicals.
