Erik leads Environment America's campaigns to prevent new offshore drilling and drilling in special places, including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Prior to joining Environment America, Erik was Program Coordinator for Citizens Campaign for the Environment; National Field Director for Alaska Wilderness League; Virginia Field Organizer for National Environmental Trust; Senior Field Associate for Pew Environment Group; and Maryland State Director for Chesapeake Climate Action Network. He was part of the successful campaign to defeat proposals to open the Arctic Refuge to drilling in 2005. Erik lives in Washington, D.C., and is a self-proclaimed bird and beer nerd.
