The new baby orca in the K pod off the coast of Oregon is certainly cause for celebration — it’s the first baby for the pod in over a decade.

But for this youngster, the future is uncertain at best. Its community is critically endangered, haunted by the threat of starvation due to a lack of salmon, the Southern Resident orca’s main food source.

We’re advocating for the breaching of the dams that are contributing to the extinction of salmon populations on the Pacific Northwest’s Lower Snake River. It’s an uphill battle, but one we know we can win with our supporters by our side.

Will you donate today to power our campaign to save the orcas, and all our other work to defend the environment?
