AUSTIN – Environment Texas, which is a citizen-based environmental advocacy project of Environment America, announced today its endorsement of State Senator Sylvia Garcia for Congress (TX29).

Sylvia Garcia’s active and expressed support of Environment Texas’ work and values–fighting for open space, clean air, clean water and clean energy–led to today’s endorsement.

“Environment Texas’ members and supporters believe that defending our environment requires independent research, tough-minded advocacy, and spirited grassroots action. Both Senator Garcia’s career in public service and her congressional campaign have exemplified these very ideals,” said Luke Metzger, Executive Director of Environment Texas.
