Tell the Texas legislature to protect solar and wind energy in Texas
Texas is the national leader in renewable energy. Don't let the Texas Legislature stop the boom in solar and wind energy.
Newly unveiled ultralight fabric solar cells can turn any surface into a power source.
Sunlight is in virtually limitless abundance all across the country and now engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed ultralight fabric solar cells that can quickly and easily turn any surface into a power source.
These new solar cells are thinner than a human hair, light-weight, and can be printed using ink-based materials.
“It’s exciting to see continued innovation in society’s ability to harness the sun’s rays to power our lives,” said Johanna Neumann, senior director of Environment America Research & Policy Center’s campaign for 100% Renewable Energy.
“Solar efficiency has already improved to the point where America could meet all our electricity needs more than 100 times over from solar alone, and it’s only getting better.”
