Are you looking for a DC internship this spring or summer?

If you want to work on the most profound challenge of our time — protecting the planet — apply here today for an internship with Environment America. Our internships offer training in advocacy, research, public speaking and other skills you need for a career making the world a better place. And, you’ll work directly on a campaign to make a difference for the planet right now, including lobbying members of Congress and getting published in local newspapers or on our website.

Here’s what one recent DC intern said about her experience:

“Overall, my expectations have been exceeded. I have been so impressed with how thoughtfully and intentionally you have fostered a learning environment, and it has made me feel excited, engaged, and motivated. I have heard from so many people about how internships are often about busy work that feels meaningless, and I am thrilled to say that my experience so far at Environment America has been exactly the opposite. I feel like I am learning so much, I am proud of what I am doing, and I am excited to use the skills I am gaining now and in the future.”

Chloe Cruger is a senior at the University of California – Santa Barbara majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Professional Writing for Civic Engagement. She is also involved with the Waste Committee of UCSB’s Gauchos Go Green. Chloe completed a virtual internship working to save monarch butterflies in summer 2024.
