The Flatside Wilderness is a wild area in the Ouachita National Forest. People visit the wilderness area to hike, hunt, view wildlife and enjoy nature with their families.

On May 13, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass a bill to expand the wilderness area. Now the bill will be considered by the Senate.
