Hard to beat a phone call from a constituent
We assisted the National Audubon Society with two conservation priorities: protecting habitat for migratory birds and funding state-level wildlife conservation.

Good ideas don’t become law without the public getting behind them. That’s why we helped the National Audubon Society give people an opportunity to voice their support for wildlife conservation by calling into their congressional offices.
Two of Audubon’s priorities are passing the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act and fully funding the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act. The first bill would fund state-level wildlife conservation efforts. The second would help to fund habitat restoration and conservation for migratory birds, even when the habitats are outside the U.S. Both bills are bipartisan, and both are also supported by Environment America.
Calling for Action is a program run by the Fund for the Public Interest Foundation, which, like Environment America, is part of The Public Interest Network. We connected the National Audubon Society with the Calling for Action program because solving environmental problems depends on our ability to bring people together to call for change.
Saving migratory birds and supporting wildlife conservation is important work. We look forward to supporting similar efforts from other allies in the future.
