The more voices we have the better

Julie Moller
Member, Environment Illinois

I live in Chicago, and I love to spend time with my family, do yoga and walk my dog along the beach. I also enjoy gardening because it allows me to can my own harvest, which is very satisfying. Protecting our waters and wildlife from waste and reducing single-use plastics are important issues to me. When I was young, I was bothered by litter, so I would always pick it up. I also used to volunteer to collect newspapers and bundle them up for recycling. I support Environment Illinois because it addresses local and national issues, and it works collaboratively with other organizations. The more voices we have the better. I encourage people who want to help the environment to find an issue they’re passionate about and start there—you can make change.
