Tell Sherwin-Williams to protect the Okefenokee Swamp
Sherwin-Williams CEO Heidi Petz,
The Okefenokee Swamp is the largest wildlife refuge in the eastern United States, protecting many of Georgia’s threatened and endangered animals. But a proposed titanium mine on the Okefenokee’s doorstep could put this wild place at risk. The mine threatens hundreds of acres of wetlands. It could pollute the waters where alligators swim and wood storks glide.
As one of the largest sellers of paint in the country, Sherwin-Wiliams can help protect the Okefenokee by committing not to buy or sell products containing titanium from the proposed mine. Please make a commitment to not sell titanium dioxide-based paint linked to mining in the Okefenokee.
Sincerely,
