As America’s top climate scientists sounded the alarm on climate change, Environment America and our national network focused on solutions.

The 2018 update to the National Climate Assessment, released on Nov. 23, painted a sobering picture of the future we face if we don’t act quickly to rein in climate change. We’re calling for swift and bold action.

“We must act strategically, with urgency, to stifle climate change on a global scale,” said Andrea McGimsey, senior director of our network’s Global Warming Solutions campaign. “It’s up to all of us—from our elected officials, to the companies we buy from, to our families—to roll up our sleeves, and solve this existential challenge for our country and our world.”

Among the solutions backed by Environment America are local and state commitments to renewable energy, local and state incentives for solar power, greater energy conservation and efficiency, and zero-emission vehicles.
