California Climate Lobby Day

On March 20, 2024, Environment California and our partners led a day of advocacy at state legislative offices in Sacramento. This was a great chance to meet directly with lawmakers and their staff to deliver a clear and compelling message about the bills we want to see California pass this year in order to secure a climate-safe future. There is much California needs to accomplish this year including keeping clean energy growing quickly and reducing global warming pollution by phasing out dirty fossil fuels.

After a brief “Lobbying 101” training, the group walked from the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel over to the state capitol to begin meetings with legislators and their staff. Lunch was provided at noon.

This was a fantastic opportunity to join like minded advocates and Californians from throughout the state to help make sure the environment is a top priority for our decision makers.
