Tell your state legislators to support rooftop solar

Generating more solar energy is critical to meeting our 100% clean energy goal, but new rooftop solar installations have plummeted by 80% in California since drastic cuts to solar incentives were implemented in 2023.

California cannot continue to lead on clean energy and climate change solutions with rooftop solar growing at such a sluggish pace. California homeowners, apartment-dwellers, and businesses should be compensated fairly for the electricity their solar panels supply to the grid.

Tell your state legislators to support rooftop solar energy by passing AB 2256 (Friedman) to establish the true value of rooftop solar by considering its environmental and societal benefits, from cleaner air to reduced wildfire risk.
