Tell Sonic: Don’t use plastic foam containers

Polystyrene foam cups and takeout containers are one of the worst kinds of single-use plastic. It’s flimsy and easily crumbles into tiny plastic pieces that can last in the environment for hundreds of years.

Other fast food chains have already committed to phasing out plastic foam cups and containers, including Dunkin’, McDonald’s, KFC and Taco Bell. If Sonic does the same nationwide, it could prevent piles of foam cups from getting tossed away. Sonic should reduce its environmental impact by giving up polystyrene foam cups and take-out containers.
