We must protect our waterways and prevent further pollution

My name is Lauren Justice and I am an intern at the Environment Illinois Research & Education Center. I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida, where I studied environmental science with an emphasis on water policy and management. I moved to Chicago in August 2023 to start my law degree at Chicago Kent College of Law. My interest in protecting our waterways and preventing further pollution to these important systems led me to this internship. I aim to help future leaders understand the importance of water related issues, especially microplastic pollution, using data collection.
