Students from University of Massachusetts, Boston, met with their state senator, Senator Nick Collins’ office, to advocate for a transition to 100% clean energy. The 100% Clean Act, H.3689, would transition the state to 100% clean electricity by 2035, and clean heating and transportation by 2045.

“The climate crisis is the biggest threat our generation is facing,” says Ashanti McIean, sophomore at UMass Boston and 100% Renewables Campaign Coordinator on campus. “It’s important that our voices are heard: we need to phase out polluting fossil fuels, which harm our health and warm our planet. Massachusetts’ rapid transition to clean energy is crucial to ensure a sustainable future for all.”
