In advance of President Obama’s address to the joint session of Congress today, Environment America released a fact sheet highlighting past achievements in clean energy and green transportation industries, as well as future policies and investments that could create more jobs in those industries.

Sean Garren, Clean Energy Advocate for Environment America, issued the following statement in advance of the President’s speech:

“Investing in clean energy and green transportation will put our economy on a stable, long-term path to innovation and job creation. Under the leadership of President Obama, these investments—in fuel-efficient automobiles, energy efficiency, mass transit and wind and solar power—have already created hundreds of thousands of jobs, cleaned up our air and reduced the threat of climate change.  We hope that the President will continue this strategy and get us closer to the clean energy economy America needs.”
