Enjoy the outdoors and make a difference this Earth Day weekend by joining us on a hike through the Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area, a part of the Old-Growth Forest Network, an organization that identifies and protects the continued growth of forests. We’ll talk about the different trees in the area and why they are worth protecting. After the 1.4 mile loop, there will be an opportunity to sign a petition and sign up for other actions to support our campaign to Save North Carolina’s Oldest Forests. A trail scavenger hunt will also be available for kids (or adults) to take part in during the hike.

Reach out to Emily at [email protected] with any questions about this event and fill out the form below so that we can contact you if any details change.
