Experience Oregon’s hidden treasure without leaving Eugene.

In the remote, southeastern corner of Oregon lies a hidden treasure of colorful canyons, sweeping seas of sagebrush steppe, rambling rivers and snaking streams where recreation opportunities abound.

Join Environment Oregon, Oregon League of Conservation Voters and Friends of the Owyhee for an evening celebrating the Owyhee Canyonlands with first-hand accounts from the people that know it best — including conservation geologist Sammy Castonguay, hiker and author of numerous hiking guides William L. Sullivan and naturalist and author of the Owyhee River Journals Bonnie Olin — along with advocates working to protect the Owyhee for future generations.

There will also be an optical illusion 3D art installation on display showing what it’s like to stand on the rim of the canyon, opportunities to take action to protect the Owyhee and giveaways.

This event is free and open to the public, with food and beverages available for purchase.
