As part of the Protect the Owyhee Canyonlands coalition’s efforts, the Center for Western Priorities (CWP) has released a new video highlighting the Owyhee’s land, wildlife, and cultural history and the urgent need for permanent protection.
Featured spokespeople include: Wilson Wewa, Northern Paiute Tribe elder, traditional knowledge keeper, and spiritual leader; Karly Foster, Campaign Manager, Oregon Natural Desert Association; Tim Davis, Founder and Executive Director, Friends of the Owyhee; Julie Weikel, Retired large animal veterinarian and Owyhee advocate.
