Protect birds from building collisions
As many as a billion birds die each year by colliding with buildings, often because they didn’t realize the sky and clouds before them were reflections from a thick pane of glass.
If passed, the Bird-Safe Buildings Act (H.R.1986) will save millions of birds, by requiring the General Services Administration (GSA) to develop and implement strategies for reducing bird fatalities from collisions with public buildings. Send a message to your U.S. representative, asking them to support H.R.1986 when it comes up for a vote in the months ahead.
