Tell the U.S. Senate: Don’t let them cut down our oldest forests

I urge you to keep our oldest forests off the chopping block. Please vote ‘no’ on the Promoting Effective Forest Management Act of 2023, which calls for chopping down our mature forests.

Mature trees grow into old-growth trees that provide critical wildlife habitat and keep huge amounts of climate-warming carbon from being released into the atmosphere.

We need our forests to stay standing for generations to come, but this legislation threatens to level towering giants and destroy many of our nation’s older trees. Don’t let them cut down our mature forests.
